Nyaung Shwe – Lwekhaw – Minetauk (Trek)

From Nyaung Shwe take a Tuk Tuk or horse cart to the trekking starting point near Kantaw reservoir. Than walk up through several plantation such as beans, turmeric, corn, banana, cheroot leave and avocado to Lwekhaw.

On the way, enjoy the panoramic view overlooking the lake and its environment. A traditional style lunch will be served at Lwekhaw village. After visiting around Lwekhaw village, descend along rocky trail at the beginning, to Minetauk,  passing through sugar cane plantations. From Minetauk bridge return to your hotel by boat.

Distance = 22 km

Trek condition = 35% up, 35% down and 30% flat

Inle – Inne –Thapyaykone – Thaleoo (Trek)

Trekking starting point is at Minetauk, on the eastern shore of the lake. Day tour & trek to the summit of the blue and hazy mountain range. Visit the traditional Pa-O village of Inne. Walk up to the mountain of Inne. The village is located about 15 km from Inle lake. On the way enjoy the beauty of nature, the Tawya monastery and seasonal terrace crop plantations.

Lunch will be offered at Inne with Pa-O food. After lunch, explore the village and study the local life-style. Return back to Inle lake by descending the slope passing through Thapyaykone village and then proceed to Thaleoo village. Return back to your hotel by boat.

Distance = 27 km
Trek condition = 20% up, 20% down and 60% flat (hard trek)

Inle - Hti Ne – Yeacho – Inle (Trek)

Starting point is at Magyikone boat jetty. Walk through different plantations to Moekaung village. After a short break, proceed to Donetakhaw and its natural water spring. Then walk up to Hti Ne, where we get to a view point. Relax and enjoy the panoramic view over the way we came and Inle lake. Have lunch at Hti Ne’s community house with Pa-O traditional food.

After lunch, descend to Pa-O, Shan and Inthar villages, then walk on the plain up to Yeacho and Nampan. Things to see on the way are teak woods, sugar cane, cheroot leave and turmeric plantation. Return back to your respective hotel by boat.

Distance = 24 km
Trek condition = 15% up, 15% down and 70% flat (hard trek)

Inle – Hti Ne – Kakku – Tgi – Inle (Trek & Car )

Trekking starting point is at Magyikone boat jetty, on the eastern shore of the lake. Soft & hard trek to the summit where you can see the full scale of the blue and hazy mountain range. Visit the traditional Pa-O village of Hti Ne.

Proceed to Naungkae, where you can see the local Pa-O hand weaving of bright and colorful piece of textiles, for the shoulder bags. A car is waiting ahead ready to continue about 30 minutes to Kakku Pagoda complex.

Lunch at Kakku Hlaing Konn restaurant and visit to Kakku pagoda. In the evening depart from Kakku by car to Inle .
(A) Via Taunggyi the capital of Shan State
(B) Via Kyauktalone
Return back to your hotel.

Thaleoo – Naunglay – Konechan – Alemyaung (Trek)

Trekking starting point at the eastern shore of Inle lake Thaleoo and trek through the seasonal plantation along a creek to Naunglay. Visit to bamboo basket making. Enjoy the magnificent view of Inle lake from Naunglay.

Continues to Konechan village to observe old monastery and stupas. Then proceed to Alemyaung, where a home-cooked lunch is served at a local house with Pa-O traditional food. After lunch, return to your hotel by boat.

Distance = 6.5 km

Trek Condition = 10% slope, 90% flat

Inle – Moekaung – Inle (Trek)

Begin trekking from Magyikone Inthar village through several seasonal plantations to Moekaung for 2 ½ hrs. The village is located about 5 km from Inle lake. Have lunch in Pa-O house with traditional food. You will be able to see the different kind of useful trees, bamboo forest, different species of birds and seasonal crop plantations on the way.

After that descend to Nampan (Inle) by passing through Naungkan and Manaung village. Return to your hotel by boat.

Distance = 15 km

Trek Condition = 100 % flat

Inle – Taunggyi - Narbaung – Kakku – Kyauktalone – Inle (Walk & Car)

Leave from Nyaung Shwe to Kakku by car via Taunggyi the capital of Shan State. You will also have a chance to visit the (5) day market on the way. After that proceed to Narbaung, from Narbaung we will keep walking for about 1.5 hrs to Htampayar. On the way to Htampayar you can observe the natural water source that nearby villagers rely on not only for drinking but also for agriculture. Further on, after by passing through several farms we can visit an ancient cave.

The car will wait at the end of the short trek to proceed to Kakku. You can enter Phyu Nge ancient monastery before Kakku. Lunch will be catered at Hlaing Konn restaurant near Kakku pagoda complex. Pay homage to recently discover ancient Buddhist stupas aligned in parallel rows covering an area of nearly 1 sq km. In the evening, depart from Kakku via Kyauktalone to Inle. Return back to your hotel by boat.

Distance = 2.4 km (walk), = 70 km (car)

Trek Condition = 100% flat

Inle – Taunggyi - Kakku – Kyauktalone – Inle (Bike + Car)

Leave from your hotel to Taunggyi by car first, then cycle to Kakku. On the way, you can visit to ancient cave called Htampaya cave (or) an ancient monastery at Phyu Nge village and several plantation. You can observe, rural life, the 5-days market if it is a market day.

Lunch will be catered at Hlaing Konn restaurant near Kakku pagoda complex. Pay homage to recently discover ancient Buddhist stupas aligned in parallel rows covering an area of nearly 1 sq km. In the evening, depart from Kakku via Kyauktalone to Inle by bike. Back to your hotel by boat.

Remark - The car will be with you all the way long.

Inle – Taunggyi – Naungakar – Seson – Kakku – Kyauktalone – Inle (Car & Boat Excursion Tour)

Leave from your hotel to Seson via Taunggyi. Lunch at Seson with Shan traditional food followed by a leisure break. Then proceed to Kakku by boat along the Thabat creek. Beside the creek you can observe the way of life of the Shan tribe, keeping the straw in Shan style and also there is an ancient pagoda that from the same century as the Kakku pagodas.

Visit to Kakku ancient Pagoda for about 1 hr. Depart from Kakku to Inle via Kyauktalone by car and back to your hotel by boat.

Nyaung Shwe – Nampan – Mawbe - Samkar – Inle (Bike & Boat Tour)

Depart from your hotel to the starting point at Nampan. Start biking to Samkar passing through many villages, see various kind of plantation such as cheroot leaves, bean, mango, tumeric, corn, garlic and paddy. Enjoy the picturesque scenery and way of life of the rural area. Lunch will be serve at a local house in Samkar village.

After lunch, visit Samkar ancient pagoda, monastery and the village itself. Proceed to Thayarkone village by boat to observe local people’s own creations like rice alcohol making and have a sip to warm your throat. Continue to the recently renovated ancient Tharkaung Pagoda and to Naungbo village where a senior villager is still handing down the art of making big clay pots, household utensils and toys to younger generations. Then enjoy and relax a boat ride back to your hotel.
