Inle – Lwekhaw - Inne – Tootan – Htine - Moekaung(or) Kakku -  Inle

Day 1. From Nyaung Shwe taking a Tuk Tuk or horse cart to the trekking starting point near Kantaw Reservoir. Walk up through several plantations such as beans, tumeric, corn, banana, cheroot leave and avocado to Lwekhaw. On the way, enjoy the panoramic view over-looking the lake and its environment. A traditional style lunch will be served at Lwekhaw village. After lunch break, a more adventurous trip can be arranged to climb up to the peak of the mountain near the village. Here you can enjoy a great view and refresh yourself. The night stop will be at that village in the community house.

Distance = 14 km                     Trek Condition = 40% up and 60% flat

Day 2. After breakfast, walk to Ponethae village through many gardens until you arrive at Inne village were you will have lunch. Roam around the village, learning about the local way of life and planting of trees. Enjoy a cultural exchange between host and guests before dinner. Take a rest at the Inne community house where we also stay for the night.

Distance = 10 km                   Trek Condition = 20% up, 20% down and 60% flat

Day 3. After breakfast, we leave at 8:00 AM and climb up to Yan Aung mountain range . Stop at Htiwarmuu village on the mountain and have lunch there. After lunch, we walk along the mountain range and arrive to Tootan village where we stop for the night at a local house.

Distance = 14 km                  Trek Condition = 30% up and 70% flat

Day 4. After breakfast, keep on going to Mayphyu village where you will have lunch. Then walk up the mountain and reach Htine village where we stay over-night at the community house.

Distance = 14 km                  Trek Condition = 25% up, 20% down and 25% flat

Day 5.

Option (A) – After breakfast, we leave at 9:00 AM and walk down to pass through Donthakhaw village. The next village is Moekaung where we have lunch. After lunch, we cross rice fields, an area of reforestation and visit some villages along the way before reaching the boat jetty. From here transfer to your hotel.
Option (B) – After breakfast, we leave at 9:00 AM and walk to Naungkae village to learn about local wisdom, traditional hand-weaving for bags and depending on the season roasting of cheroot (cordial) leaves. A car will wait at Naungkae to proceed to Kakku with its pagodas, where we will have lunch in Hlaing Kone restaurant. After lunch, pay homage to Kakku’s 2,478 ancient pagodas and stupas lying in an area of 1 sq km. Return to Inle via TaungGyi by car.

          (B) Distance = 3.2 km (walk), = 90 km (car)     Trek Condition = 10% up, 20% down and 70% flat

Inle – Bawlapat - Inne – Htiwamuu - Tootan – Kakku – Kakku - Inle ( Trek + Car)

Day 1. Starting point is at Minethauk bridge at about 8:30 AM. From here we go up to Tawya Meditation Centre. Then trek up to Pawlapat village where you will have lunch. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and views of Inle on the way up. After lunch we proceed to Inne village where we stay over-night at the community house.

Distance = 11 km              Trek Condition = 40% up, 20% down and 40% flat

Day 2. After breakfast, we leave at 8:00 AM. Then we climb up to the Yan Aung mountain range and pass through Htiwarmuu village where we also have lunch. After lunch, we walk a long the mountain range and enjoy a breath taking view and the fresh mountain air. We pass through Naungdel village and arrive at Tootan village. Here we stay over-night at a local house.

Distance = 14 km              Trek Condition = 20% up, 40% down and 40% flat

Day 3. After breakfast we walk along the road and discover the rural life to reach to Kyaunghto village where we will have lunch. After lunch, we proceed to Kakku village with its 2,478 pagodas. Discover the pagodas in the evening and stay over-night at the CIT cottages at Kakku.

Distance = 15 km              Trek Condition = 10% down and 90% flat

Day 4. Next morning, the view of the sunrise over the thousands of pagodas will give you an unforgettable memory of your journey. Enjoy your breakfast at the community restaurant. After breakfast,a fishing tour will take you on Thabat creek. Participate in a local style home-cooking class to prepare your own lunch. After lunch, a tree planting program will be arranged by a community village guide. The purpose is to grow trees to help improve the environmental conditions of the community.In the evening, enjoy the traditional entertainment performed by the Kakku community after dinner.

Day 5. After breakfast we check out from the Kakku CIT cottages. We take a car (or) train to go back to Taunggyi. On the way by car only, we can visit Htampayar cave with Buddha statues and stupas in and around the cave. Also on the way is Narboung natural water source. Have lunch at Taunggyi, the capital of the Shan state, and continue to Inle.

Distance = 71 km

Day 3. After breakfast, say good bye to the local family and leave at 8:30 AM. We will walk along a road and discover the rural life. We reach to Kyaunghto village where we will have lunch. After lunch, we proceed to Kakku with its 2,478 pagadas. The night stop will be at the community cottage at Kakku.

Distance = 16 km                  Trek Condition = 20% down and 80% flat

Day 4. After breakfast, we depart at 8:00 AM from Kakku and pass through a Pa-O village and see colorful plantations in this very fertile area. We reach Naungyasai village where we have lunch. After lunch we keep going to Naungkae village where we can see hand-weaving of tissues for shoulder bags. Then we move on to Htine village where we stay over-night in the Pa-O community house.

Distance = 18 km                  Trek Condition = 30% up and 70% flat

Day 5. After breakfast, we leave at 9:00 AM and walk down to pass through Donthakhaw village. The next village is Moekaung where we have lunch. After lunch, we cross rice fields, an area of reforestation and visit some villages along the way before reaching the boat jetty. From here transfer to your respective hotel.

Day 3.  After breakfast, we leave at 8:00 AM and climb up to Yan Aung mountain range. Stop at Htiwarmuu village on the mountain and have lunch there. After lunch, we walk along the mountain range and arrive to Tootan village where we stop for the night at a local house.

Distance = 12 km       Trek condition = 30% up, 30% down & 40% flat

Distance = 14 km       Trek condition = 40% up, 60% flat

Day 1. Start at Magyikone boat jetty, along the way to Intha village pass through a colorful forest with teak trees and hike through rice fields. Then arrive at the Pa-O village of Moekaung where we have lunch. After lunch we continue to Hti Ne village where we stay over night in the community house.

Distance = 12 km            Trek condition = 20% up, 80% flat

Day 2. We leave at 8:00 AM from the community house. We walk along the mountain slope and move down to other side. Here we reach Lwelake village and have lunch. After lunch, continue walking to Tootan village and stay over night at a local house.

Distance = 14 km             Trek condition = 30% up, 30% down & 40% flat

Day 3. After breakfast, we leave at 8:30 AM to continue to Htiwarmuu village and have packed picnic lunch under the big tree. After lunch, continue to the top of mountain. It is about 2,200 m above sea level. We walk down to Inne village where we spend the night in the community house.

Distance = 12 km              Trek condition = 30% up, 30% down & 40% flat

Day 4. After breakfast, we leave at 8:30 AM to continue to LoiHkaw village and have lunch at that village. After lunch break, a more adventurous trip can be arranged to climb up to the peak of the mountain near the village. Here you can enjoy a great view and refresh yourself. The night stop will be at that village in the community house.

Distance = 10 km              Trek condition = 50% down & 50% flat

Day 5. After breakfast, we leave at 9:00 AM to wonder down to Red Mountain vineyard to explore how Myanmar wine is produced and to have lunch. Then take a horse cart or Tuk Tuk to transfer to NyaungShwe.

Distance = 14 km              Trek condition = 50% down & 50% flat
